Featuring unique automated retraction technology, the Portex line of safety scalpels offers one-handed safety activation away from the blade in order to protect the caregiver from accidental injury and exposure to infectious disease during surgical procedures. Designed to inhibit unprotected, ''in-between'' blade positions, the patented spring activated mechanism provides user control to access or hide the blade. A safe alternative to traditional OR blades, these scalpels are versatile for diverse floor use applications.
